More 2012 Lambs!!!

Here are the rest of the 2012 lambs born so far, Twin Springs Anna had twin ewe lambs out of twin springs corbin

                  Sheltering Pines Pyrenees Morn, had triplet black lambs, 2 ewes and a ram out of ABA Jax.

WhisperingPines Morning Glory had twin rams out of ABA Jax, a moorit gulmoget and a solid moorit. 5 more ewes left to lamb and we will be done!! i will keep you posted as the rest arrive, and if any of the lambs interest you or there mothers please let me know!

Blogger is not being good to me right now so just a quick post, on march 14th wild geese holly gave me two beautiful ewes out of twin springs corbin a moorit flecket...sock, a moorit sokket ewe, and sammie j a moorit smirslet sokket, and last night march 20th spring hills tippy gave me a nice black ram out of aba jax a solid moorit. named mikey

Catching Up and a quick update.

Well  how to start off this post is tough. I know I have been a bad blogger and let the blog slip through the cracks, but this year I PROMISE to keep it updated always!! :-) so here is just a quick update before lambs start and I really start revamping here again!. We had a very good sales year this past summer/fall selling all of my lambs and adults I wanted to thankfully!, I will be starting a meet the flock series soon to show everybody who all I do have left. and I will be posting a breeding list at the end of this post so if you see any crossings that interest you please speak up and I can put you on the waiting list!! :-) also I have taken a totally new direction for this fall and I am going to be starting polled breeding this fall! but I will save all of that for another post!, Here are the Breeding Groups I did this past fall.

R.I.P baby girl

Today i lost the one that started it all. Maybelline.  from the moment i layed eyes on this beautiful girl 3 years ago i knew she was meant to be mine. she had the looks the personality everything. i loved her and you bet she was my girl. she followed me EVERYWHERE always greeting me with an adorable baa when i would walk in. she was one that couldnt be replaced and never will be. so many memories with her she will forever be in my heart. she will be so greatly missed. R.I.P baby girl

Serendippitys Lambs!!!

Minwawe serendippity had twin moorit spotted lambs (with a lot of help from me!) around 4:15pm today out of bahama, i will let the pictures of the big @$$ ram lamb show you why she had such issues delivering him and then his cute innocent little sister who came out like a dream!.

SUPRISE!!!

I was out of town with a friend who had surgery for a few days thinking nobody would lamb while i was gone becuase nobody was due. boy was i WRONG! my crossbred ewe whom i didnt even think could get pregnant because she has issues most likely from inbreeding where i bought her from had twin ewes out of bahama!!! i have always put her with a ram even though she could breed (well she hasnt the past 3 years!!) and the one is black and the other is white, they are crossed with shetland,karakul and border leciester!! pictures tomorrow!!!

Anna' Ram Unnamed Suggestions?

FIRST LAMBS!!!

Today i went up too do the normal barn feeding, not expecting any lambs as the night before nobody was showing signs of labor. and what did i find? twin springs anna a moorit smirslet with a moorit and white yuglet sokket flecket ewe lamb and moorit smirslet sokket ram lamb out of minwawe bahama and nuss tutu an Ag ewe in labor!! OMG so psyched/nervous. totally unprepared for the lambs that were born let alone the ones that are coming! so needless to say i was running around like a chicken with its head cut off! then finally at 12:30pm i decided to go home and eat lunch thinking tutu had a bit to go before poppin them out. about 1 i return too the barn too find TRIPLETS!!! two ewes and a ram!! a black flecket ewe, a black and white yuglet flecket(only 2 or 3 little spots on her body) and a black and white yuglet flecket ram lamb similar too his yuglet flecket sister only with a few more black spots! all are happy and healthy and sired by minwawe bahama!! pictures tomorrow!! right now its rest time for this shepherd lol

Day 13 Wild Geese Holly

Wild Geese Holly is a coming 5 year old solid moorit ewe, with a loving personality,spot on conformation and a luxurious fleece!! she is my biggest ewe as far as weight goes. but she gives me the most correct lambs you have ever seen! she is either bred to minwawe bahama or spring hill nugget, nugget got over with bahama the day she was in heat and saw both of them mount holly but im not sure if anything happened before i got there, so if she gives me a katmoget they are nuggets if she gives me spots they are bahamas, if she gives me solid im in trouble! i wouldnt be upset if nugget bred her because she might be mioget and nugget is emsket! so that would be a nice pairing!! this is the last ewe i will be posting for a few weeks, i have two ewes coming within the next 3 weeks and will post them when they get here!!! and then rams after that and by then new lambs will be coming!!!!

Day 12 LauriesLamb China

This is LauriesLamb China, she is a coming 4 year old solid white ewe who carries mioget. she is bred to maple ridge colin in hopes of a nice mioget or white ewe lamb to retain. she is due march 24th. she has a lovely fleece and fantastic conformation that im hoping she will pass on too her offspring. she is one of my stand-offish ewes but colin is friendly so im hoping her lambs have his personality.

Day 11 Nuss Tutu

This is Nuss Tutu, a coming 3 year old, grey/white bersugget, she is jete's momma and has the same cute/innocent looks, she has a very soft crimpy fleece, decent conformation and a lovely personality, she is bred to minwawe bahama and is due sometime in the first week of march. she is BIG! i was very tempted to post a hind picture of her too show how big she is but some people get offened by things like that so i decided against it. she might be homozygous black, i will know for sure this spring being bred to bahama. if that is the case she will be for sale. i have too much black in my flock to have a homozygous black ewe.

Day 10 Nuss Jete

This is Nuss Jete, an adorable coming yearling ewe. She is Ag grey, she is an F2 Brent with a wonderfully soft fleece, with a lot of nice crimp. i generally dont breed my ewe lambs unless they are at least 50lbs. and she is only maybe 4olbs right now. so i hadnt planned on breeding her but she had other ideas. she is bred to maple ridge colin and is due April 10th. im excited to see what she produces, i love her baby doll face and puppy personality, when she does something bad and she gets caught she looks at me with her big brown eyes and ears forward as if too say " i didnt do it. must have been that brat maybelline shes always being bad" much like she is in the picture above. she got caught chasing my kittens

Day 9 Sheltering Pines Pyrenees Morn

This is Sheltering Pines Pyrenees Morn, a coming 4 year old grey katmoget, She is my biggest ewe, height wise. she has a very soft crimpy fleece that has a gorgeous blue hue too it. She has a very square back end and a perfect little tail, she has had twins the past two years, her first year a shaela gulmoget and emsket kat. and the second year two grey kats, she is bred to minwawe bahama in hopes of a fawn katmoget ewe lamb. She is one of my favorite ewes in the flock.

Day 8 WHISPERING PINES MORNING GLORY

This is Whispering Pines Morning Glory (MG for short) a coming 3 year old moorit? fawn? gulmoget she has an EXTREMELY soft fleece with a lot of crimp. she has very nice conformation, perfect size height wise. for my breeding anyway, some people would prefer she be taller. she carries a lot of spots so i put her with minwawe bahama in hopes of a nice spotted gulmoget or two! she is a very friendly ewe and im hoping she passes all of her good qualities onto her babies! she is one of the two ewes i do not have an exact date on this year but i do know it will be sometime within the first two weeks of march. she is quite round so im expecting twins from her :)

Day 7 MINWAWE SERENDIPPITY

This is the adorable Minwawe Serendippity, a coming 4 year old black/white smirslet sokket. She has spot on conformation, a lovely soft fleece, and adorable looks and after a few months of working with her finally found her inner "puppy dog"!! she is another one of my very loving ewes, one whom i cannot count how many times ive cried into her beautiful wool when things get rough (for those of you who dont know, im not a cry baby, i have major depression/anxiety issues) i can always count on her too be there.. she is bred to minwawe bahama and is due around march 20th, i will most likely retain her lambs this year as she is a favorite of mine and i like to keep the lines of my favorites quite large in my flock.

DAY 6 MINWAWE SILVER BELL

This is minwawe silver bell, a coming 4 year old black/white smirslet sokket, she has more of a double coated fleece, not as soft as some of my other ewes but still soft and bred to bahama last year produced a VERY soft ram lamb, i repeated that breeding this year in hopes of a soft ewe lamb or two out of the pair. she has nice conformation but is improveable in some areas, she is friendly but only on HER terms. as i said earlier she is bred to minwawe bahama and is due around march 19th. i cannot wait too see what gorgeous lambs she gives me this year, tommorrow (or sometime lol) i will feature her half-sister minwawe serendippity who is another ewe i have high hopes for. also forgot to mention that chanel,anna,silver bell and serendippity are all related, SB and Ser. are chanel and annas aunts on their fathers side

Day 5 Twin Springs Anna

This is Twin Springs Anna a coming 3 year old moorit smirslet sokket ewe, last year her first lambing she gave me twins, a ewe and a ram, im hoping for twin ewes this year. she is bred to minwawe bahama. she has a lovely soft fleece. and spot on conformation. and a quite lovely personality. she loves animal crackers and gives "kisses" if you say give me a kiss she will put her nose on my cheek she is soo cute
