NEW GUARD LLAMAS!!

Well as some of you may or may not know, my great pyrenees has turned on my sheep, almost killing three sheep in one week. so needless to say he is done gone buh bye from my farm! but any who. with him leaving, my flock was without protection so i started researching llamas and quickly found a place not to far away and set up a visit planning just to "look" at them of course those of you who personally know me know i dont just look i almost always buy LOL well i havent changed, by the time the visit was done i had picked out two gorgeous gelded males and had setup a pick up date two days later! so with out further adieu introduce my two boys Tommy and Teacup aka TC (more manly ;) ) my ewes love tommy and the feeling is mutual, TC is still a bit leary but is coming around...this will probably be my last post until 2011 so happy holidays to you all! :)

STUNNING ram lamb for sale

I have an extraordinary moorit ram lamb lamb for sale. he is purebred registered. he has an awesome fleece, great crimp, color and butter soft. nice wide horns. excellent back end. and a grat personality to match. he is an all around well put together ram lamb. his father won grand-champion ram at the garden state show two years in a row and this boy is just as nice if not nicer. he carries spots and the horned ewe gene. pictures available upon request. comment here, email mshenkle@hotmail.com or 724-422-2914 asking $300

Better late than never...breeding groups

Well as of october 2nd breeding groups have been together. my first lambs will be expected around march 3rd out of twin springs anna and minwawe bahama. almost all of my ewes have been bred, all but 5 i know are bred, i went away for a week so im not sure if those 5 happened to be bred while i was gone or not...all of my lambs will be on the ground by the beginning of april except for one ewe, sheltrg pines pelagia an emsket ewe being bred to an F1 ram lamb out of brent. she should have her lambs mid-late april. i will post pics of breeding groups and then a meet the flock series once my camera is fixed or replaced.

Alot has happened at the farm since the last post

I know i know its been a long time since i posted last and im sorry to all of you who follow my blog for the wait..but anyways a lot has happened my shaela gulmoget and black/white yuglet sokket ewe arrived about 1.5 weeks ago thought they were going to be my last new sheepies for awhile but i was wrong, a good friend of mine contacted me about a trade so i am now getting a white ewe, a grey and white berssugget ewe and a Ag black ewe lamb in exchange for a ram lamb and a ewe, i will be getting my 3 new beauties at the garden state sheep and wool festival on september 12th, i will post pics of all of the new sheep after i get the newest three home..these WILL be the last three sheep i purchase for awhile (unless someone has a sheep at the festival i cant live without ;) lol ) i will be using 3 possibly 4 rams this fall, minwawe bahama a fawn and white yuglet sokket, spring hills tommy boy a moorit smirslet, spring hills nugget an emsket katmoget, and possibly can too seneca a mioget ram lamb..more info on who will go with who later on.

Apparently bahama does not like being inside

well i found out the hard way that bahama does not like being locked in places...the weather man was predicting bad storms over the night so i locked all of the sheep inside, i usually leave the ram side open so they can go in and out..well we didnt get storms and the next morning i went up and bahama had knockd my big barn door off of its hinges and snapped the locks..needless to say i am less than happy with mr. bahama at the moment grrrrrrrrrr

Updates

Nothing much is new 3 of the 5 new sheep im bringing in this year are coming at the end of the month! those 3 are minwawe serendippity from kara mapstone and sheltrng pines pyrenees morn and whispring pines mornig glory both from jennifer johnson thanks so much too the both of you!! so excited for that! pictures when i get them...still have some nice ram lambs available that would make great flock sires or fiber animals/pets prices are reasonable and negotiable..sadly anybody that doesnt sell will be sent "away"

R.I.P Little oscar

On April 14th 2010 i welcomed cute little oscar and his sister into this world and promised him he'd have the best care around, sadly May 31st 2010 I had to see my baby boy leave this world. He was a great little ram with a lot of potential he will be greatly missed by me and the rest of the flock, the whole flock would come and check on him through the day so at least he died knowing a lot of people and animals cared about him. He got caught up somewhere i belive and broke off part of his one horn and hurt his leg and it got infected and no medicine would cure him. Rest in peace littel guy you are greatly loved and missed

Nothing new here lambs are getting big pics as soon as my computer decides to let me use blogger correctly....i will be bringing in 4 new ewes this summer minwawe serendippity(silver bells half-sister), shetlrng pines pyrenees morn a grey kat., whispring pines morning glory a moorit gulmoget, and twin springs ivy a shaela gulmoget. maybe 1 2 or 3 more after these 4 this summer.... although do i really need another sheep?? il let you guys answer that for me LOL

Lamb Update

All is well here two more ewes left to lamb the earliest they could go is the 22nd. Lambs are all doing great! Love to run and play with eachother. They have discovered another game for the olympics...chicken chasing!! its hilarious to watch! First Ewe lamb of the season

One of my favortie ewes anna gave me gorgeous twins today and the first ewe lamb of the year!! A moorit yuglet sokket ewe and a moorit maybe modified smirslet ram. She is a great mom for a first time and boy are the twins big! the ewe is a lot bigger than the ram but they are both very leggy and have there mothers excellent confirmation pics tommorrow only 2 ewes left!!
